The thought behind initiating the Samiti was to drive Indian culture in our society. Hinduism is an Indian religion and dharma, or way of life. One of the key thoughts of Hinduism is “atman,” or the belief in soul.

EVENTS

Durga Puja is also known as Durgotsava. Durgotsava refers to all five days festivity and these five days are observed as Shashthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami and Vijayadashami.

PUJA SCHEDULE

Durga Puja is celebrated on the last day of Navaratri. The festival begins on Shasthi and ends on Dashami when the idol of Maa Durga is immerged into the rivers or any other water bodies for showing her respect and devotion.
